MTNL 5G is designed specifically for the new digital era, providing consistent and reliable high-speed connectivity with seamless multimedia services. The new wireless standard supports high-speed wireless connectivity, and is capable of providing minimum download speeds of 100Mbps. The first plan will be called ‘Go 4 Unlimited’ and provide unlimited data at high speeds for Rs 1,999 per month. Customers who want faster speeds can get them with a Rs 2,999 plan that offers 50Mbps speeds. The MTNL 5G service is based on the 3.5-GHz band, which is identical to the one used by Reliance Jio. The service will be available across a few areas in Mumbai for now and will expand to other parts of the country soon. Do note that only those devices with non-removable battery (i.e., battery can’t be removed) are supported on MTNL 5G network.
