Verizon is the largest mobile operator in the US with 121.3 Subscribers(Quater 2 2021). Verizon was launched in the year 2000 as a joint venture between British MNC Vodafone and Bell Atlantic. Bell Atlantic then changed its name to Verizon. In 2014, Verizon Communications became the single owner after paying Vodafone for the 45-percent share.
2. T-Mobile US
T-Mobile is the second-largest mobile operator in the U S, with 106.9 million subscribers(Quater 3 2021). Deutsche Telekom (DT) a German telecommunications company has 43% share in T-Mobile. In 2020 Sprint merged with T-Mobile. T-Mobile uses Nokia and Ericsson equipment for their 5G network.
3. AT&T Mobility
AT&T Mobility also known as AT&T or AT&T Wireless is an American telecom company and is the 3rd largest cellular provider in the US, with 97.8 million subscribers (Q2 2021). It was earlier known as Cingular Wireless.
4. Dish Wireless
Dish Wireless LLC is an American mobile cellular company. Dish Wireless was founded on July 1, 2020 and is the fourth-largest wireless carrier in the United States, with 8.9 million subscribers (Quater 2 2021). Dish Wireless has acquired Boost Mobile and Ting Mobile. Dish wireless is using T-Mobile’s network currently and is installing their own 5G virtualized standalone network. The dish is in the process to cover 70% of United States consumers with 5G by June 2023.
5. U.S. Cellular
US Cellular (United States Cellular Corporation) is the 5th largest American cellular network provider. US cellular has around 4.9 million customers in the United States (Quarter 2 2020).
