Introduction to 60 GHz 5G

60 GHz 5G is a completely new technology, which improves the performance of mobile broadband technically. New wireless system is reliable and accurate for taking care of the application process. It is also perfect for providing low latency connections to users, thus enabling untethered virtual reality applications and other streaming services enhanced by 60 GHz radios. 60 GHz 5G is a flexible and cost-effective alternative to other high-bandwidth solutions, such as mmWave. 60 GHz 5G has the potential to offer a wider range at both low and high volume, providing up to 10× faster speed than today’s cellular networks. Designed for high-bandwidth wireless connections in the 60 GHz band, which is at a higher frequency that 5G millimeter wave spectrum and has shorter range. 5G is the next generation of mobile broadband. The 60 GHz spectrum band has been identified by many countries as a leading candidate for 5G deployments, with high data rates and low latency. The advantages of higher frequency for such short-range applications include shorter propagation distance and reduced power consumption, which leads to lower cost per bit and opens up new opportunities in areas such as Machine Type Communication (MTC) and Augmented Reality (AR), which require low latency connectivity.

description of mmwave bands

The 5G family of short-range (SR) wireless technologies offers a wide range of options for many different applications, including backhaul and fronthaul in the radio access network (RAN) infrastructure. With sufficient spectrum, 60 GHz networks are expected to offer the lowest latency, highest throughput and highest capacity for mobile users. 5G is the next-generation wireless technology that will enable streaming of multimedia content to and from (finally!) mobile devices. This will allow consumers to take advantage of much higher bandwidth and low latency that will improve experiences such as video conferencing and virtual reality (VR), which rely on real time information. 60 GHz 5G is the next generation of wireless technology. It operates in the 60GHz spectrum, delivering ultra-high mobile broadband speeds and low latency for applications such as immersive augmented and virtual reality, high-definition video streaming and enhanced gaming. 60 GHz 5G is a millimeter wave (mm-wave) technology designed to provide significantly more capacity than the 4G LTE networks we use today. Because it provides much more bandwidth at lower frequencies, 60 GHz 5G should be able to offer faster peak speeds, of up to 10 Gbit/s in the downlink. 60 GHz 5G (also known as millimeter wave) is a wireless communication technology that uses high-frequency radio waves in the gigahertz (GHz) range, typically between 40 and 100 GHz. 60 GHz 5G makes it possible to support higher data rates, has a wider coverage area (due to smaller wavelengths and therefore higher antenna beamwidth), can coexist with other networks, and can offer increased capacity over sub 6GHz bands. 60 GHz 5G, or mmWave communications, involves the use of high frequency spectrum (from 57-64 GHz and 71-76 GHz) for mobile wireless communications. These bands have very limited availability; however, they can offer potentially higher data rates at lower latencies than other spectrum bands due to the lack of atmospheric absorption and noise. The 60 GHz 5G bands will also be used for short-range devices such as high-speed wireless access points in dense urban and campus environments. This band is attractive for massive MIMO and beamforming applications, and could potentially be used to support low-power, low-cost consumer devices
