What is RHS Right hand side

By 24th May 2024No Comments

The technical details of “RHS” in different contexts:

  1. RHS in Geometry (Right Angle-Hypotenuse-Side Congruence Rule):
    • In geometry, “RHS” stands for Right Angle-Hypotenuse-Side. It is a congruence criterion used specifically for right-angled triangles.
    • The RHS congruence theorem states that if the hypotenuse and one side of one right-angled triangle are equal to the hypotenuse and the corresponding side of another right-angled triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.
    • Essentially, if you have two right-angled triangles, and their hypotenuses and one other side are equal, you can conclude that the triangles are congruent.
  2. RHS in Algebra (Right Hand Side of an Equation):
    • In algebra, “RHS” refers to the Right Hand Side of an equation.
    • When solving equations, we manipulate expressions on both sides of the equal sign (=) to find the solution. The RHS contains everything to the right of the equal sign.
